Pinecone is a family of lighting fixtures characterized by a blown glass diffuser, available in transparent glossy or frosted white. The diffuser is manufactured using the ancient technique of caged blown glass, whereby the master glazier inflates the vitreous bubble inside a metal cage, which only partially contains its natural expansion. In this way the final product is in part retained by the cage and partly escapes, creating a tension that generates an object suspended in the act of escaping from its constraint. The cage is further embellished with a galvanic treatment that gives it a bright, shiny surface. The family now offers the option of a precious gold finish, and new sizes: table and ceiling models in two diameters of Ø 30 and 36 cm; the ceiling model with two lengths of 70 and 120 cm, plus a floor model.
