Thomas Martini dedicates his glass to one of the few really “must” cocktails of the entire mixing cosmogony, the Negroni, born in Florence, in 1919, and doing so just after its centenary year. The Negroni cocktail was created by Count Camillo Negroni, while he was at the Caffè Casoni (later to become Giacosa) in Florence. Tired of the usual American cocktail, he asked the barman to add a part of gin to the vermouth and the bitter, with which the American is prepared ... And it was immediately a success !!!
