Architextiles is series of sound absorbing textiles with a woven 3D structure. Designed by Aleksandra Gaca and manufactured by Casalis, the Architextiles collection was developed through an innovative combination of both craft and high tech elements, in a seamless process to create the panels. The textile panels, produced using sustainable materials, deliver two core features: decoration and noise reduction; the 3D texture of the woven fabric enables the panels to absorb sound waves more efficiently than flat textiles. Thus contributing to a more muted environment.
Slumber is a collection of 3D fabric designed by Aleksandra Gaca. It can be used for aesthetical as well as acoustic purposes.
The textile can be supplied separately so you can include it in your project. However be aware that the fabric is not easy because of its elasticity and very regular and precise pattern. Therefore Casalis is offering completely finished panels (fabric on frames) that are easy wall mountable.
These panels can be supplied with acoustic foam for better acoustic performance.
Architextiles can be applied as a (couple of) panel(s) on a wall but also as several panels covering a complete wall, on condition that the combination of the rectangular panels fit within the wall dimensions.
